Chaplain Training
To be a chaplain for County-Wide Chaplaincy there are some requirements and training that must be met. All chaplains must be licensed or ordained ministers and they must complete the following interviews and training before the board of directors will give a formal approval.
- Application approved by the Board of Directors (this includes a criminal background check).
- Attend the chaplaincy academy.
- Spend a minimum of one year mentoring under a senior chaplain.
- Recieve final board approval.
Chaplains continue to attend ongoing seminars and trainings as they come available to continue equipping them with the skills they will need in trauma intervention.
A potential chaplain should contact the director of County-Wide Chaplaincy. The contact numbers are listed below.
